Re: redneck fun....

so, yesterday I bought a bicycle speedo off of ebay. it was a whoppin $6.50. I am hoping I can come up with something to make the pickup work with my axle. I have some ideas.

I am thinking about making a youtube video on what I have done. I think the funniest thing is I literally just changed a pulley and the belt and almost doubled the speed of it.

I have played around with the idea of putting drum breaks on the rear. it takes a while for the thing to stop now. I am still playing with that one.

I will probably have the speedometer next week so hopefully I can play around with it then.

I am not a redneck, I am not a redneck (dang it, I'm a redneck)

I did just the opposite with the sprockets on a motorcycle I use to own back in my younger years. Before the sprockets were changed to a larger sprocket on the rear and a smaller sprocket on the front you almost had to push away from a stop, after making the changes you'd better be careful with the clutch or it would be riding you. It would pull the front wheel off the ground in third gear after the changes.

Re: redneck fun....

I can understand needing more torque. I did that in a pickup truck I once had. it made it a rocket ship. the factory gears were 3.55 and I switched up to 4.10s. the take off was unbelieveable though I was turning 2700 RPMs at 60 in a V8. gas mileage was horrible

well, got the speedo put on. it was really small but funny at the same time. anyway, here she is in all her glory.
