Return of the king!!!... sort of
Well, return of the Spring at least. I just filled up today and I broke 40mpg.
This is with no correction of the speedometer for larger tires, but for whatever reason I don't think i need to adjust for the larger tires. I checked my speedometer with a handheld GPS unit and I was within +/- 1 mph of the actual speed.
50mpg, here I come!

spring's not here yet.
as proof, i was stuck in the snow for about 5 minutes this afternoon. it took me that long to rock the car out of a deep patch in the barn yard where my $75 swift is parked.
(note to self: rocking the car for 5 minutes to get out of a snowdrift is not good for mpg. little bit forward... little bit backward... little bit forward...)

I hate it when that happens! This was kind of my problem when I hit that electric pole back in December. Only thing is I still needed to be pulled out. Someone I know once referred to snow as "sky snot."

Yes, after the last 4 days of teens in the mornings, not to mention snow and wet roads, this tank jas dropped below 50 MPG. Looking forward to a break for the rest of the week so I wrestle it back above 50.

Maybe you and your car should head to transporter room 1 and beam over to Indiana. The weather forecast... er guess is for 55 and maybe even 60 and above for tomorrow.

I just went snowboarding and
I just went snowboarding and temps were in the 20s + 3" of new snow.
It is not spring yet.

I'm unsure if the past few days have been a freak occurance or if spring is in fact right around the corner.
We actually had to use the air conditioning on the way down! how freaky.

What a difference 10F makes! Monday on the way to work, 18F, 52.3 MPG. Today, 28F, 55.0 MPG.
W0000t! Back over 50 MPG for this tank!:-D

Crapoline
So when does the crapoline go away? Is it generally the beginning of April? I know every jurisdiction is different, just ballpark...

I think April sounds about right. It may take until closer to the end of the month for all of the crapoline to be fully out of the system though.
