Plus, I'll learn a whole new field of crap, and I'm sure relearning all the crap for the metro would occupy a fair bit of my time.

And when you're done school you can keep the Metro and electrify or SVO power it (if you drop a diesel into it)!

It'll be more like drive it while I electrify the CRX,

Also, I'm afraid if I buy another EF I'll be tempted to start a collection...

I had that rule as a freshman, too. After the first trimester I figured out what kind of BS excuse I needed to get a parking pass and made it happen. Dartmouth probably has a similar policy, so ask around and see if they will make exceptions. Something like 1/3 of the freshmen at Union had cars by spring term while I was there.

I can prollyfind something out, I don't really care about driving as much as I do tinkering,

Hmm, vx engine for 250 shipped with manifolds, sensors, and harness, I want, but no money, we'll see though, we'll see.
