It's unbelievable how much the old VW Rabbit Trucks are selling for. For one that runs fine, they're selling for around $5k. To me that just seems like alot of money for a 25 year old underpowered pickup. I was looking into getting one a few months ago to convert to veggie, but they're just way too far out of my price range.

Same with the hatches, although not as pronounced. Just find a gasser in ok condition and wrangle up a diesel engine. You can do it ffor way, way less than $5k.

or find a chevette desel. they came standard with a 5 speed! so its perfect....

Even in their wildest dreams, I'm sure that Chevy never imagined that anyone would call a diesel Chevette "perfect." :-)

Those little Rabbit trucks are cool. Body style hasn't changed in 20 years....
