I love that travel trailer. If I had it I would not be willing to part with it. You must be sad to see it go.

Great to see you actually taking the plunge. Many people can dream about being car-independent, but the majority are too scared to do it. I wish you luck.

I am enjoying my car-free life and I am sure you will too.

I'll sell the Truck too! 2001 F250 SD Ext Cab, Long Bed, 4x4, 7.3TD, Automatic, XLT package with a new $4000 Heavy Duty Towing Transmission installed this year.

$10K Firm - Blue Books at $12k

I have too much stuff. Yeah, that camper is awsome. The Silver Avion's are considered the best travel trailer's every made. Even better than Airstreams. It's basically a luxury coach and has better interior finishes than most homes.

I remember The RoadWarrior..To understand who he was, you have to go back to another time..the world was powered by the black fuel & the desert sprouted great cities..Gone now, swept away..two mighty warrior tribes went to war & touched off a blaze which engulfed them all. Without fuel, they were nothing..thundering machines sputtered & stopped..Only those mobile enough to scavenge, brutal enough to pillage would survive. The gangs took over the highways, ready to wage war for a tank of juice

Is different employment possible?
I had a 62 mile, 80 minute, each way commute for close to 8 years. When it was too much I changed jobs, rather than move.
Lower salary, but much closer, bicycle commuting distance, to the home I love and can afford. Moving closer to my old job would have basically doubled my housing expense to try and keep what I have here.

LOL! ROTF.
A lot of people want it, but few have the cash. I need cash also.
I'm getting used to making dirt for pay. I don't think I would know what to do if I started earning a real income again. Why did we have to have the DotCom bust, followed by 911, followed by the housing bust, followed by the stock market crash, followed by global economic recession, followed by 2008 USA elections, followed by "I hope it doesn't get worse."

Well, at least gas prices are declining.
