'94 civic DX coupe

i'm nearly positive i'm hearing the same hollow knocking noise coming from just about every wheel on same side turns (turn right, sounds like both RF and RR are knocking/clicking).

you're the second person to imply i'm hearing things though.

what about wheel bearings? could they be an issue at all?

my digital camera is broken, so no pics yet.

Wheels bearings usually don't knock, they hum and highway speeds, but the rear bearings are easy and relatively cheap to replace.

seeing these pictures i'm pretty discouraged myself. seems like the entire frame is about to crumble to dust along that right side...

i would skip the bondo. cover it with aluminum sheet metal and paint it white....

i don't have the wherewithall for welding sheet metal.

what about tiger hair/kitty hair stuffed in there, then some bondo on top, sanded smooth, painted and sealed?

is the integrity of the frame totally compromised here?

should i plan on buying anew car in february (when it's due for inspection)?

Unless your're good with welding or want to learn, I'd just plan on getting a different car.

Integrity isn't horribly compromised but it is at the point where I wouldn't take that car autocrossing, lol.

the things runs so nicely. never any trouble whatsoever. awesome FE.

hate to dump money down the tubes on something else.

would rather have a VX than an insight.

maybe a CX?

maybe move before winter and ride a bike?

It would work to cover the hole up and pass inspection. As long as the rear lower subframe (where the lower control arms attach to the chassis) are still good, there is enough of the rest of the car to get away with covering the hole and driving it to the ground.

based on the pictures can you tell if the rear lower subframe is still OK?

should i try to take it to someone for welding work? maybe a family friend?
