WTB: Several stock '96-98 Civic HX bits & bulk

Name: Mak D.
Location: Winston Salem, NC 27045
I recently acquired a '97 EJ6/"EK" Civic Hatch 5-speed shell. Here is what I need for said car:

1. '96-98 Engine harness uncut (prefer HX/D16Y5 or EX/D16Y8)
2. Same for dash harness (aka heater harness)
3. SRS control box (bolted to center tunnel)
4. Bumper supports & horizontal reinforcement (everything under the bumper cover & local please)
5. Fuel filter bracket (mounts to firewall)
6. Charcoal canister (same)
7. Front spindles w/ good hubs/bearings, D-series
8. Main relay
9. Front fender liners
10. Battery plate/mount bolts
11. Complete, hopefully low-mile, D16Y5/HX engine, trans, ECU, axles, exhaust, shift linkage, & shifter (pending but show me what you got)
12. Stock D-series mounts

Thanks,
Mak

Re: WTB: Several stock '96-98 Civic HX bits & bulk

I have lots of what you need. My '98 Civic HX was creamed in the left rear quarter while parked in a parking garage. It was totalled by the insurance company, and I paid the salvage fee to buy it back. Everything forward of the rear quarters on the exterior is good except for the hood which was dented by a chunk of falling ice from a roof last winter. The entire interior is perfect. No rips or wear in the seats or on the carpets. All the glass is good. About 50% tread is left on Nokian i3 LRR tires mounted on the original HX rims, all of which are in excellent condition. The engine runs perfectly (synthetic oil with 7k-8k mile changes) and the transmission is smooth. I bought it in 2005 with 50,000 miles on it from a Florida Honda dealer where it had been traded in by the original owner. I have maintained it myself, and it now has 152,000 miles on it.

I was originally going to swap the engine and tranny into another '96 - '00 HX with a good shell and bad engine/tranny or into my '95 DX hatchback. The swap into my hatchback is too involved, and I haven't found a '96 - '00 HX shell, so I'm inclined to sell the entire car to someone who can use most of the parts or just sell it part by part. I'd rather sell the entire car to one person since it's easier and doesn't drag the process out. The car still drives straight, so it could be driven to Winston-Salem or somewhere nearby. I have some business in VA in about 4 weeks, so it's possible I could drive it there, use it for the 2 - 3 days I need it, and fly home to RI afterwards. Let me know if you're interested.
