Well this isn't the UK where everything is around the corner...including pubs. LOL
The only motorcycle that I had that was a killer on the butt on a long trip was my 1987 Yamaha XT350 where I drove 800 kms the first day and 600 Kms the second day to get me to the EAA Annual Fly-In in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Of course the countless fuel stops with a tiny 12 liter - 3.17 US GAL - 2.64 IMP GAL gas tank did not help with range.
A couple of years later when I bought my first BMW, that 1400 km trip was done in one long day. Fill-ups were at about 400 kms. No pain and I could walk normally the next day.
My usual first day trip in Europe is at 747 km to get me close to the Alps where my first fill-up is at 525 km on the A9. A couple of other times just over 1000 kms on other trips. Not an issue with a BMW motorcycle even when using a stock seat. Daily rides in the Alps are between 300 and 400 kms due to the extremely twisty nature of the passes.
