I hate stopping for gas. It cuts into my riding.

2016 BMW R1200 GSA - Tank: 30 liters or 6.60 Imp Gal or 7.92 US gal.

Distance: 535 kilometers or 332 miles.
Gas: 26.136 liters or 5.75 Imp Gal or 6.90 US Gal.
Efficiiency: 4.89 liters/100 km or 58.82 MPG Imp or 48.15 MPG US.

Running to empty, good for 614 kilometers or 381 miles.

Surely you must be in extreme discomfort/fatigue riding for 600 KM non stop?

Me too. The OP must be young still. My arthritic bones want a break after about 100 miles, plus I'd also need to pee.

It's what, maybe 2% stopped for fueling out of the 100% of the ride? Depending on where one is riding the time stopped for red lights, trains, etc. is way more than that.

Fueling is a two edged sword........................

Fuel stops - my view - may be viewed as local or long distance.

I find local fueling fun..........

A well managed and designed Chevron is a few miles from home.

My turbo 1.4 VW fuel efficiency generally - not always - puts a smile on my face.

The folks at the Chevron ALWAYS have clean - fresh window washing gear at hand.

They also have clean restrooms.

I like the owner.

That's my take - over a long observation period!
