Just want to add my EOC experience from today. This was my first time.

Went from 24.8mpg (no EOC) to 34.9mpg (with EOC). That's a pretty big increase, but I got to say, I don't think I could drive like that everyday. Not to mention I didn't feel very safe doing it with other cars on the road. The loss of assissted braking scares me. I know you have a few good presses before it cuts out, but what if that's when you need it most?

However, the terrain here is pretty good for coasting. Plenty of hills. I might compare coasting (with engine on) and see how much of a difference it makes before I decide if EOC is for me or not.

You do get used to it, it isn't much harder than learning to drive stick. Some folks use the handbrake to slow down and save the boost. Some cars still stop easily enough once boost is gone.

Manual brakes, or otherwise increasing your braking leverage, is also an option.

Another option is to simply add to the reserve capacity by plumbing in a plastic bottle by the checkvalve.

I *think* an electric vacuum pump and a low pressure switch could be plumbed in by the checkvalve to maintain brake vacuum (note, use ignition power, unless you have a good reason not to)

Flatland, 41% is a great gain for EOC! I want to try it some more now on the shorter sections, but still worried about being a A/T and the fact that the scangauge still isn't calibrated to a tank yet.
