Issue adding Prius Prime 2022 as new vehicle on Fuelly
Hello,
Why is it that the Prius Prime is not an independent model for 2022 when adding a new Toyota vehicle on Fuelly but is for 2021? Apparently, to add the 2022 Prius Prime, you have to say it is a regular Prius and then under that, you can choose Prius Prime. Does not make sense to lump them together so I assume it must be some mistake on the website.
And that list could be going by manufacturer info. Toyota markets the Prime/PHV as a separate model, but the mechanical differences aren't any greater than a different engine option. Their technical documents could be listing the Prime as a trim or submodel to the Prius.
Interesting... I wonder what led to the decision to couple the Prius Prime as part of the Prius family for 2022. No generation changes between 2021 and 2022 and the Prius Prime is pretty much the same as the 2021 year model.
I'm curious where Fuelly is pulling the list of vehicles from.
