On so many levels.

Having worn (and driven) the same for many years it didn't come as a shock to me. It's a bit different having on my own POV, though.

The real problem arises when traffic doesn't SEE me! All too often. It's hard enough as it is being tiny with all the trucks, SUVs, and crazy people. And, I only yesterday read an article from Down Under about light colored cars having the fewest and least harmful accidents, with darker cars having more and more harmful altercations. The white/light cars pay for it in reduced resale, though. Except silver.

The entire idea is to have cheap MPG performance, but I'm not sure I can deal with being invisible in traffic very long. I may have to spring for different paint. I'm thinking maybe Desert Sand instead of Woodland. Or maybe RED. Or possibly some kind of Electric Blue.

Or not...

Mr Incredible -

Welcome to GS! You're CRX is ready for the outback. I have a small "3rd brakelight" that flashes, but I haven't installed it yet. The idea is, the flashing light attracts the attention of the car following you, and makes it safer for *both of you*. I need to wire it/piggyback it into my existing 3rd brakelight, but I have been lazy about it. I tried to find it on JCWhitney, but the closest I could find was this funny gizmo :

FLASHING LED ANTENNA-STYLE LIGHT - $11.99 to $12.99

Quote:
* Mounts anywhere on vehicle with double-sided tape
* Sensor activates LED only when vehicle is moving at night
* No wiring?includes batteries
