Hello from Charleston WV

Finally got around to putting in my profile and actually getting an account after lurking for so long.

My car - gold - hers is silver. Consistently getting about 40% over EPA estimates when I drive her car - she gets a little better. Then again I put the thing into neutral on hills - and boy does it coast.

The Nissan Altima that's my daily driver gets above EPA as well - mostly the Bosch +4 plugs and lots of neutral on the hills and up to stop signs.

But the big thing about me is I'm looking (to trade if possible) for a CRX to massively modify and try to hit my 101 MPG target. It's in my title - my sig - and will likely be in my posts whenever I can. Think a 1200 pound CRX. I know - carbon fiber hood, and carbon fiber/fiberglass/aluminum - roof, fenders, body panels, re-engineered doors, lexan windows, quick-release removable passenger seat, as much aero as I can, smooth underbelly like on an Insight, etc. TOFFEE CRX - Tricked Out For Fuel Economy Extension.

I put a lot of miles on my vehicles, sometimes multiple cross-country trips (as many as 14 in a year), so the TOFFEE CRX is my ultimate goal. I know - shaving 1/3 of an already small vehicle's weight is a tough thing to do and keep the car viable, but hey - gotta have something to shoot for.

I see so many CRXs tricked out for racing, but rarely for better FE. It's a great looking vehicle, and I think it's quite possible to achieve.

Anyone nearby, I'm ALWAYS in the mood for a trade, and like to get together with FE enthusiasts!

Actual Charleston

I'm outside the city limits - actual Charleston zip code. Where are you?
