Hello from South Texas

New to the site, just added a 2021 Ram 1500 QC Limited 4x4 5’7” bed with the ecodiesel and the 3.21 rear end. So far I am pretty impressed with the fuel economy, but I am also coming over from a 2008 Ram 1500 QC LoneStar 4x4 with the 5.7 Hemi and fairly aggressive tires.

Still on the first tank from the dealership and the truck is reporting around 25.8 mpg. Not sure how accurate these gauges are on the newer trucks.

Has anyone made any significant gains on mpg by changing out to a better air filter or any other minor changes. I don’t want to go over to tuning the vehicle or anything like that.

Thanks
Teddychk

Welcome to the forum. Post a photo or two. That sounds like very good mileage on a brand new truck since new tires are always a bit worse on mpg.

If it was as simple as changing the air intake, the manufacturer would have already done it. A lot of the "High Flow" air filters have a higher flow rate, but they get that by sacrificing filtration. I wouldn't do it, especially if you're under warranty.
