hello from southern illinois

new member here. my ride is a huffy mountain bike with a 48cc 2-stroke engine on it. i got the kit and put it on a couple weekends ago. it has been running good and i hope to get a fuel estimate for you guys soon once i put my odometer on my bike. the bike supposedly gets up to 150mpg and can reach speeds up to 30mph. since it is under 50cc it doesn't need to be registered, licensed or insured in illinois. i ride it to work which is a 20 mile round trip and i sure get some funny looks

that is wild looking. I like the exhaust. does anyone know if the sproket free-wheels when it goes in reverse. I was wondering if you could use it as a bike too.

I'm getting one of these engines in a couple weeks. (Already added it to my Garage.) It has a clutch to disengage the engine which allows the bike to function normally. The clutch lever that comes with it has a locking button so you don't have to hold it all the time. There is a forum dedicated to motored bicycles, which I am also a member. http://www.motoredbikes.com/
