They are 5 lugs now. I'm ot sure where I'd want to go with any mods as of yet. Stuff that comes to mind would be intake, exhuast, maybe pulleys. From what i've seen so far there isn't any conclusive data that says any of those would increase MPG. However they would increase HP. In which case I'd probably have to go with a turbo, LSD, coil-overs, a ridiculous wing...

The bottom line though is I have limited funds, so i must stick with smaller inexpensive mods.

Warmer thermostat is definately the way to go. It will run around $10 and is easy to install if you have a little technical ability.

Oh, and welcome to the site.

I went with NGK copper spark

I went with NGK copper spark plugs(V power). Everybody said they are better. I'm also using Royal purple.

I can do 30mpg if I try, but so far I'm doing 25mpg due to racing and high speed driving.

The new civic is great, especially the auto. It drives at 2500rpm at 80mph, which is impressive. It handles good too. I had a chance to drive both the sedan and coupe, both auto. The car has a good amount of torque, really likes top end. After the car breaks in around 15k you should get a small mpg boost. Then change to synthetic.
