I bought a Suzuki Swift, where is my 60mpg?

Hello everyone!

I recently made the transition from a super-cool 1990 Volvo 240 getting an all-time best of 27mpg all highway driving, to an also super-cool 1998 Suzuki Swift getting a best of 55mpg all highway driving. But I'm wanting to go higher than that. Right now my rough estimate numbers are 45/55, but I'm really wanting to break 60mpg on the highway.

So does anyone out there have such knowledge on Swifts who can help me out?

I just wanted to introduce myself and my car, and say thanks a lot for to all the people who contribute to this site and share their knowledge for the rest of us.

A place to start, after you search Gassavers.org for Metro/Swift info:

I'd say you're doing very well in the MPG department. I have an older and lighter weight Swift and have averaged 40 in town and 50 on the highway. Highest I ever got was 53. Looking forward to hearing how you increase that mileage so I can copy you.
