Just like to say hi from Louisville , KY USA !!!! I'm not new to tracking my Mpg. Yet I'm new to doing it on a site such as this .
I remember back in the mid to late 80's that I had a Honda hatchback that got 38-42 mpg depending how I drove it (lol) yet I see to day the cars don't seam to get the MPG's of yesteryear :-(

Prior to the 2004 Honda Accord Ex 2.4 I have now, I was driving a 1988 Buick century station wagon 2.8 engine that got any were from 19-22 MPG . Before that I got spoiled just riding scooters( 150cc to 650cc engines) with 50 + mpg !!!!!!

So I'm going to see with my driving style if I can get this 2004 Honda Accord Ex up into the 30+ mpg range

You need a European diesel by the sounds of it, VW Golf 1.6 TDI rated at 94 MPG

I remember getting up to 34 MPG on my '98 Accord EX (5 speed), so 30+ should be doable with an '04.

In American MPG I think that translates to about 45MPG.... Must be the Metric/American conversion difference... I think I would jizz on myself if I EVER got 94 MPG.

The US gallon is only 17% smaller so 94 MPG would be mid 70's. Perfectly acheiveable in a modern diesel.
