I am new to the site, I am just a guy looking to get decent mpg on my bucket.

I am getting 19 mpg on the street. It isn't very nice.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I run full syntech oil,
new spark plugs and wires,
and new air filter.
thanks for any help that you guys give me

Is that the d16a6 I see you

Is that the d16a6 I see you talking about on h-t? I'm pretty sure you'll hit 13s, but with n/a it will be expensive, just boost a z6 or something, unless you want the pride.

In any case, somethings wrong, run compression and leak down, check your sensors. Throwing any codes?

Looks like that is either a

Looks like that is either a d16a6 or a d15b2 engine with MPFI conversion. I'm guessing that because the car is a DX.

there is NO reason you should be getting 19mpg in that car. You should be getting at LEAST 30mpg mixed.

Is this car burning oil? Do you have any vacuum leaks?

I would do like SVO boy said and do a compression check on each cylinder. I would also check your brakes as sometimes they are adjusted incorrectly and drag constantly, which can kill gas mileage.

yeah it is on h-t, but my build up plans have been put on hold because I have a child on the way. I would like to get this motor in tip top shape though so I don't have any unexpected expenses. I don't know if it is throwing any more code after a small wire fix up. The wiring from the last guy who had this car is very poor, I have been thinking about replacing the harness, if that could be done.

Make sure you redo the

Make sure you redo the wiring. Even if the wiring is working it can be working bad. When I first got my car I had the compression test done.

So far I replaced...
Air filter, fuel filter, distrubitor rotor and cap, spark plugs, spark plug wires, tranny flush, radiator flush, idle adjustment, new tires, and other stuff.
