Actually that's my winter beard - I do a lot of walking outside in the winter and it helps to keep me warm - we get some pretty raw winds off the water around here and I am out for half an hour at a time.

This is my summer trim . . . Usually I cut my hair about 3 times a year.

How can everyone stand that long hair? I need mine short enough to avoid brushing.

Anyway, in the red tie:

Ha Ha Ha what's a brush? No really it doesn't need brushing unless you destroy it with all the chemicals in hair care products. I just rinse with water and once in a while some Polysorbate 80 scalp cleaner. The beard is really easy too - just comb it after rinsing with water. Food doesn't really get into it much - once you learn how to eat with a fork/spoon.

So long as your hair's oil remains distributed relatively evenly, it won't need a brush. If you wash all the oil out, it will. From my experience, long hair is best washed about once every 3 days with lukewarm water.

JanGeo's beard kicks ***. I look forward to scaring little kids for when I get to be that age!
