I don't know where you get that from. I am paying exactly the same for my electricity as I did this time last year.

I can't see how unless you fixed them somehow. They've at least doubled in recent months, it's speculated the average household will have to fork out £3000 a year in energy costs.

That is the appropriate phrase but most tariffs are fixed for the duration of the term from one energy cap to the next.

Fuelling my 1.4 liter Jetta S 5M yesterday - at $5.99/gallon - I calced 39.5 MPG

That being said - returning home - I was driving the speed limit............

Apparently the oversized and jacked black GM pickup astern of me viewed me in the negative.

He rswerved into the adjacent (left/fast) lane and cut back in far too soon............

Probably thinking dire thoughts of the white Jetta impeding his progress thru life.....and probably burning enough fuel - - - - well most of you will get this...............

That's my story (*and I'm sticking to it)..............

I don't believe in dangerous manoeuvres on public roads. Brake checking is a big thing in the US. Instead, if I'm unhappy with someone's driving, I'll simply blast my horn for a few seconds when I'm able to overtake. The highway code states using the horn is to make other road users aware of your presence, and these people that drive 40% below the speed limit really need to consider the other road users they're holding up.

But back on topic, I filled up with high octane E5 yesterday, the only fuel I use in my cars, at an eye watering £1.82 a litre. Comparing prices to last year, it's gone up over 65 pence per litre. The government is considering cutting fuel tax by 5p. Too little too late I'm afraid...

I think someone posted inappropriately in it, got reported, got deleted, and now only the original posts show up but it still shows for 24 hours in today's posts.

Likely spam.
That what usually revives old threads.

I get fed up waiting for them to disappear so I post to it and it no longer flags up.
