We're basically back to the early 80's peak in gas prices. I wonder if we'll start to see more brand new cars like this. Tech has come a long ways in 20 years, so you'd think they would do way better. The last one I know of that was actually on sale was the Corbin Sparrow, and it died in 2002.
There was a nice new Meyers Motors NMG (No More Gas) at the Energy Fair in central Wisconsin last June. A fellow in the are brougt his new one over and had it on display for a day, with all the other interesting vehicles like biodiesel and veggie oil diesels, electrics, hybrids, electric bikes, etc.
I think a new Meyers NMG (formerly Corbin Sparrow) sells for around $25,000, about twice the Corbin Sparrow price. But Corbin couldn't make money on them.
