Calling all Civic VX and DX/SI hatch owners...

please, take pictures of the underbody of your car! Specifically under the front and under the rear! I want to see what the diffuser looks like on the Civic VX which is suppose to improve aerodynamics of the car!

I'd greatly appreciate it and so would many others on this forum!

Thanks TomO,

Well I know what my back one is supposed to look like. A few months before I got mine, my back bumper was off. Nothing was supporting the sides where the quarter panel was. So I have it held up with pipe strapping.

Neither one of my bumpers are in good shape. I'll have to get to the local Honda boneyard when the weather breaks.

BTW, what kind of tape did you use to smooth out the front, it has red letters on it but can't make out what it says.

Thanks,
Dave

Nashua Foil Tape and I added some Coroplast and Roof Flashing to cover the exhaust.

The link is for the normal stuff although I used the 324A Cold Weather version since it sees temps as low as -15?F in the winter.

And just to clarify, the tape was used to smooth over the screws i used, not to hold up the coroplast and flashing.

Cool! I've never seen that tape before. Excellent! I was wondering about if guys enclose the exhaust on a full belly pan mod.

In my area, NE Ohio, that would keep the salt out of the undercarriage, an added bonus!

Actually, there IS a front bumper "diffuser" on the VX. It covers the front holes on the drivers side behind the license plate on the inside of the bumper. It's removed if you have A/C, though.

I do remember that, and there is even a thread on this site containing a pic of it. But a DIY flush mount block will be more effective than the OEM piece.

deschlong: There is a red VX that a co-worker owns and it has the factory block on the front. I pointed it out to her and she never even knew it was there, lol.
