I'm feeling good about Green's last two tanks 21.66 mpg and 21.56 mpg. May not look like a lot, but it has all the aerodynamics of a brick, weighs 4100 lbs empty, and is hitting 35% above EPA without me going to extremes for hypermiling.

That's very good, catching up to Marvin, with 500lb weight penalty, more frontal area, and 1.3L more mouth to feed.

Thanks, I'm trying. Think I'll be hard pressed to get my mid-size van to match your mini-van numbers though.
Thus far I haven't made any changes to Green to improve mileage, aside from a SGII to help my driving. Been trying to figure out a way to create a light weight boat tail to plug into my hitch receiver. Wonder how well insulation sheeting would hold up....

Truncated boat tail, only going out about 2 feet. Big Dave did the math when I was discussing aero mods for Grumpy and a full boat tail would be 72-80 inches long. At 2 feet it would be an estimated 54% wake reduction.

"Noodle boards" flat pool noodles... stick 'em edge on, in a box around the tailgate about 4-6 inches in from the edge.
