I'm at about 215 mi. and reading about 1/3 up from the bottom. I need to drive about 40 mi. this afternoon; will likely find the gauge in or near the red zone when I get back.

182 miles. I am just under the 1/2 mark. I ran into some bad traffic this morning.

I'm out. Had to fill early to do work travel tomorrow. 413 miles on 9.186 gallons. 7 days. Makes for that fill 1.31 gallons a day or $3.89 a day

Not bad at all. At least I took last place so nobody else would be the bottom of the fuel barrel. The good part is my trip to Houston was to install a custom "stealth EGR" box to defeat the EGR for better fuel efficiency. It will also lessen PMs (partical matter), keep contaminates out of the engine oil (by controlling soot) for longer oil change intervals and improves low end power and efficiency (by not adding dirty inert gases to the cyclinder). So I lost the battle but will win the war!

Just barely hanging in there.
Next time I need to go anywhere I'll need to get gas.
With luck I might be able to put that off till Wednesday. Gee, if I make it through Wed. I might make it till Fri!

Why? My job quit on my so I only need to to an occasional errand and some doctor/dentist visits. My next contract assignment supposedly starts Monday 11/26 but I'll believe it when I see it.

The gauge has only just started to show signs of life (or decline). 330 miles+ gone and 18 indicated gallons remaining.

Ok, I finally filled up for the first time on Sunday. (I've been sick and have barely driven 20 miles in the last week anyway.) If all goes as planned, I won't be posting my next fill until January.

Looks like my last tank works out to 4.69 days per gallon. I should be able to do better than that this time hopefully with 20-30% better FE.

The gallons per day is an interesting figure. It shows restraint and efficiency. Heck, if most people could survive on 1 gallon a day...there would be a huge difference in fuel usage in the US.

I think I am going to try this again starting Friday 11-23-2007 and improve upon my last numbers.
