However, pure-gas.org lists the comeback of E0, now rising 9.6% in ~ 7 months. People want E0 & are demanding that E0 be served. E0 stations may rise to 10,000 in somewhat over a year. Since new quality gasoline engine cars & gasoline refinings equal or bests ethanol emissions in gasoline engines, the EPA needs to butt out, so E0 can rise ever more. With availability to ~50,000 stations, E0 will reduce in price compared to worthless ethanol & become even more available.
But how much of that increase is actual stations selling road legal fuel, and not race shops selling non-road use fuel by the jug or barrel? Does it take into account the listed stations with recent comments of 'no longer has ethanol free'?

Gasoline has always been a witch's brew of compounds that has changed through the years. Ethanol free gasoline of the '30s would wreck a modern engine if it could start on it. Even now, the mix changes between seasons and regions. Ethanol is just another component of the mix that we actually know about as consumers. How many here knew that gasoline, all octanes, ethanol free or not, contains benzene?

Hey, I used to live there as a kid.

Gas prices spiked up just before the holiday weekend here. $3.319 was the lowest I filled at. It might at $3.369 now.

And I'll bet $3.319 was for E10 and not E0...

Of course, but Virginia now has the second lowest gas taxes in the nation. While Pennsylvania recently increased theirs with a couple more step increases already on the books. Without the new tax increase, the cost per gallon may have dropped below what you just paid.

What I pay may also be higher for being in the RFG area of Philadelphia.

I'll be driving up to Hershey, PA next week probably, and not looking forward to what I'll have to pay for a tank of ethanol free up there. A bonus is that most of the way I'm on Rt 15 at 55 MPH, and I'll get really good mileage.

Since the price collapse for 10% ethanol blends, the price gap compared to E0 widened here in Everett, WA., from about 10% to 12% difference to 40+%! Other parts of the U.S. also such gaps. As of now the price gap is ~20%. Despite the deeply widened price gap, pure-gas.org just surged over 9000 E0 listings for February 15, 2015. If the price gap will narrow further, listings for E0 sources still might get to 10,000 by the beginning of 2016.

Stations in the Shenandoah Valley where I've been buying my E0 have been charging $0.20/gal extra for E0 lately. 2 years ago they were charging between $0.07 and $0.10/gal extra.
