Because I got BIGTIME lucky when I found that one. My brother and I laughed when we got back in the truck to leave. Saying that was all but stealing.

rust

Matt, the car that you bought most likely will not have as much rust, or the potential to have it later... Plus, do you really want a car with a salvage title.

As far as the Salvage title to me I really dont care. As long as the car was repaired properly in most cases the car will be fine. For people that do care I can see why they dont want a R-title but hey to each his own.

My n600 has a salvage title... it really doesn't bother me at all. The only time that a salvage title matters is if you are planning on selling it in the next few years. For my n600 I plan on having it for a LONG time, and even if it's a salvage a collector would pay top dollar for it (assuming it's restored). To me a $800 Civic VX could be pink and missing all of the doors/fenders and I'll still buy it.

I'd buy it because it was pink. Make a big stencil and spray a black Venture Bros skull on the hood, I'd roll in that.

I just won't race because the turbo isn't spooling right. Or at all!

To put it into even more perspective, My project '89 CRX HF was $800 and it has possible salvage title, busted pass fender, dented hood, beat front bumper, busted pass headlight, destroyed pass corner, no interior other than a dash and a seat, foam packing peanuts everywhere, very little rust, a useless driver's window reg, broken odometer since who knows when, I had to fight 1st and 2nd gear like an irate space donkey to get her home, no brake lights, idles like a comatose patient (which led to fastest length-of-ownership-to-time-of-wreck ratio ever, link to story below) and oh yeah, the parking brake is utterly useless (a nearby stick has been temping that job until I get to fixing it) Anyway, as you can see, you got the better deal, hands down. Mak

story of my .1 mile-of-ownership-until-I wreck-my-car...fun stuff
