Poor Man's AC

I just bought one of these.

http://coolorheat.com/

It draws only 30W and can cool to 40F below ambient. It should make summer more bearable in the VX.

I will will have a report as soon as it arrives in the mail.

Hummmm makes me wonder about the junctions that I have . . . maybe they are really dead and a new one will work a whole lot better. I heard some highschool kids made an AC unit out of several of them and it worked great.

That looks very cool *rimshot*

Seriously, tell me how it goes... could be a nice gift for my wife.

I'm also thinking of ordering one of these for her:

i think the ice breaker is that you get cool and hot! mine only warm and massage ;( but the seat is so comfy i can sit on it for hours and not feel any strain of "butt pain."

But these days its too hot, so the cushion goes away for now until it gets cooler.

Looks nice but my seats are very comfy already. Yup, the coolness is what sold me. Hopefully it will work as advertized.

I bought one of these. Have not had a chance to use it yet. One thing I did notice is that you have to be in direct sunlite for it to work. If the sun is on the west side and the cooler is on the east side it does not work. I'll let you know how it does after I had it for a while. But for now I would save your money.

When I'm not using mine, I keep it on the shelf right next to my Flowbee.
