So I'm pretty inconsistent

So I just sorted through all of my gas receipts.... A few good one's couldn't be added because it didn't include the date OR I wrote the mileage in pencil and can't read it anymore (I keep the receipts in my car). I also lost my last reciept (blew out of car) - that was a good tank too, but the fuel price was much higher :/ But I know I'm missing a lot - the odometer says I've done 11,000 miles - I just entered 6500 miles of receipts

I guess the new EPA estimates were spot on :P When I have some time, I'm going to do some statistics magic on it... See how my driving style changes with respect to fuel costs and things like that.

What's terrible is my consistency :P I guess it's not too bad when the 30+ ones are taken out :P Oh well, now I have a baseline - we'll see what the numbers look like now that the SG was installed.

Mines all over the place as well.

Before I even found this website I was getting 20 - 25 mpg.

The best since was on my last tank, 34.53 mpg.

That's a huge difference. However, my mileage has been as low as 28 and anywhere inbetween.

Mostly due to weather I figure. I take the same route almost everyday. traffic is usually the same as well too.

Beats me why it happens. Normal I guess.

Good luck crunching the numbers!

Weather and the average trip length seem to be the biggest things that change mpg outside of driving habits/style.
