It goes without saying, but I will say it anyway. That is darn good mileage .

Processing Data

Hey all-

I just wanted to update you on the Cycle-1 results...

Raw Data from the Gaslogs has been extracted for processing the results. Before the results are posted, a double-check of the spreadsheet is pending -- then the winners will be announced

The improvement on paper is amazing -- but to translate that into effort is impossible. Long story short, the Hypermiling exhibited is truly amazing, and the effort is extraordinary.

Participants, take a moment to reflect on your achievements. Each of you have played an important role in the betterment of FE.

If you have time, post some insights in the "What did you Learn About FE" thread.

Best FE,

The Commish

I have an unbelievable gas gauge estimate for this week. I hit 360 miles at my half tank (about 4.8 gallons used )mark which is around 75 mpg. I estimate an average speed of around 40 mph. i wanted to fill to get verification pretty bad but gas is $3.65/ gal now . Maybe after the holiday. I've been refining P&G for my commute and I have had pretty much ideal weather and traffic conditions.

jwxr7, you've got it going!! Kinda hard to make such big improvements when you were doing so great already. Proves the power of determination.

You guys on GasMisers5 may have to carry (or drag) me for a while. I may have run myself out of gas recently.

Good job, all Team GasMisers5.

I have a base fill for my Prius. I filled up Wednesday because I was noticing that the SG was always reading a lower mpg than the FCD in the car even though the miles driven were the same. I found that I had forgotten about the off-set when I transferred the SG to the Prius. When I filled, it took 3.1 gallons and I had travelled 248 miles for 75.1 mpg. I can't wait until the car gets broken in. Looks like things could get interesting.

I think the general consesus is that the MFD in the Prius is about 3% optomistic between between acutal fill data and display. Mine has been about 1.3% high. Oustanding numbers by the way. It will just get better as the tires and engine break in.
