this Craigslist ad must be a farse, no?

I know diesel is expensive these days, but there's no way this car is really being sold for $3500, right? I expect to see this "flagged for removal" by tomorrow. They give no contact info, but that seems to be typical for Craigslist. Geez, I hate clicking on their links for sending emails. This car is posted under the Virginia (Hampton Roads) section. I've inquired, but I only expect a Nigerian prince to respond to my email (oh, wonderful!).

I just saw a 1982 prelude, 166k for 7500 on my local craigslist, no typo. I thought the price was just amazing...... not a collectors car or clean car too...

There is nothing there except the removal notice. Would someone care to fill the rest of us in on what was so amazing/strange and/or unbelievable?

sorry...I always do that. The car was a VW Jetta TDI, 2003 with 56k miles. The ad stated a price of "$3505"...which is an odd price. ...aside from a ridiculously LOW price (I just didn't understand, why the extra $5?). Anyway, I can't see that it's been flagged for removal, but it certainly doesn't appear listed anymore. Oh well. Must've sold (haha).

I've had a number of Craigslist ads of mine flagged for no apparent reason at all.

A lot of times your competition will flag you, particularly if you are trying to sell a service.

Craigslist claims that something like 99% of flagged and removed ads violate their terms of service but after a thorough perusal of the rules I never have found a rule that any of my flagged ads have violated.

On the bright side, I *did* get a $3000 check for an item I was advertising for $150 once.. They just wanted me to send the rest of the money to them via courier..

I think the person is at it again. Here's a link to today's version http://limaohio.craigslist.org/car/678900990.html Who puts "please look" in their title anyways?

2002 Jetta, 98k miles, $2800
