Ultra Guage question

I bought an Ultra Gauge a few months ago and after inputting the information on my car it shows 34 mpg on the highway but after manually calculating the next fill up I was only getting 27 mpg.

Why would the gauge be off?

Re: Ultra Guage question

there is a calibration procedure. you have to give it a correction error amount.

on the scangauge you change the correction factor based on your actual fuel usage. not sure on the ultragague

the manual on it is like 50 pages or something.

http://ultra-gauge.com/ultragauge/su...ser_manual.pdf

on page 30-31 is where I found some helpful info.
