Home Depot Accepts Competitor Coupons

I just verified that all the claims on Ebay auctions that Home Depot will accept competitor coupons (like Lowes ones, for example) are in fact true. They have to still be valid, of course.

I've always done it. I like Lowes a lot better than Home Depot, They always honor my 20% off coupons I get in the mail from Home Depot.

So it goes both ways? Good to know. I like Lowes better too, but they don't carry oil furnaces. I have a few Lowes coupons that are expiring so I checked it out.

I see a lot of 20% off "no longer works at Home Depot" coupons on ebay that are claimed to be accepted by Lowes. Anybody ever get that to work?

The coupon has a bar code on it. When used at home depot they scan it, and then its no longer valid in their system. Lowes does not have access to check if it has already been used. They just take the coupon.

All the "verify before bidding" caveats were putting me off. Thanks.

Oil is nasty anyway. Get propane.

Propane prices here are crazy. And I've got the tank already, not to mention my hot water tank is oil fired.
