It is quite impressive for the low increase. I was flooring it because I was keeping up with a brand new Mazda 6....it was fun. But I should keep it on the FE minded side now for a while.

yea its been known that everyone that gets an aftermarket intake tends to loose mpg just because the sound makes their foot heavier even though the aftermarket intakes advertise better fuel economy.

My charade has a drilled airbox. Sounds great when you have your foot in it. Must try and drive for FE!

I am obviously not the only one that has this problem!
My intake, and muffler sound great when going 3000-5000rpm, but not good for FE. so I TRY to chill below 3000

Same here -- even at 40% throttle it has a decent grumble.

The loudest intake I've heard was on the Honda B16a2 ('99-'00 Civic Si/SiR, some Del Sols, etc.) It was WAY louder than the aftermarket exhaust, while in VTEC. The ITR has the same effect...

I can still hear it...
