I filled up today. I drove 393.8 miles and used 6.811 gallons for 57.818 MPG . Here are the numbers for today:
1) 51.5-5.8 miles(wife's work)
2) 53.4-9.6 miles(my work)
3) 60.5-9.6(wife's work)
4) 60.2-13.4(bank)
5) 42.9-.9(gas station)
6) 49.6-2.8 miles(my mom's)
7) 52.6-.2(Wakarusa, IN Maple Syrup Festival)
8)62.9-5.1(home)
Average for today: 56.3

I think my SG is set just about where I want it. When I filled up, it reported 55 MPG and 7.2 gallons used.

I just got my first tank over 40 mpg in the geoyta, I know it should not be that big of a deal but my son drives the car a lot so I have to try double hard to get that kinda mpg. 337 miles 8.0 gal. 42.1 mpg.
Feels pretty good, I have not had a tank over 40 since I got rid of my festiva about 15 years ago.

I had an awesome day today! I drove up to the far north side of Chicago today to meet a friend who is the Admin at CleanMPG and went on from there to the Milwaukee Hybrid Group meeting in Oak Creek Wisconsin. On the way to Tom's, my car got 56.7 over 127 miles. From Tom's to the meet I was able to push his car('03 HCH CVT) to 68.1. On the way back from the meet, into the headwinds that were in the far-northern IL/Chicago area, I managed 63.9 in the HCH. From Tom's to home, I hit stop and crawl almost imediately after getting on to I94 and it lasted, except for one stretch of about 2 miles, all the way to where I94 and I57 split off. In fact, I actually missed my turn and got onto I57 and had to get back on course at Halsted. Anyway, after that, I found a car carrier that had one Escalade right on the back and he was travelling 48-51 mph so I did a bit of drafting for the next 10-15 miles. By the time I got back to my regular gas station the SG was reading 57.1. Now here is where things get scary-good. When I filled up, I had travelled 260 miles and, after practicaly jumping up and down on the bumper, I was only able to squeeze in 4.13 gallons for a new personal best of 62.95 mpg  I used very large amounts of P&G/codfishing, some drafting, and I added 4 oz of acetone to a full tank of gas(12.2 gallons). This tank helped me to finally make it to basjoosland.:D

THIS LAST TANK IS THE WORST MILEAGE I HAVE EVER GOTTEN since I added the aero mods to my car. I got a lousy 53mpg after a 501 mile road trip on I-26 and I-95 (Greenville, SC to Beaufort, SC and back) while driving at a cruising speed of 80mph (with short sprints up to 95mph while doing coastdown tests on the flat coastal plains roads). Results of the coastdown tests at 78F, 90mph to 80mph (10 sec), 80mph to 70mph (12 sec), 70mph to 60mph (13 sec), 60mph to 50mph (14 sec). Results of coastdown test at 50F, 90mph to 80mph (8 sec), 80mph to 70mph (10 sec), 70mph to 60mph (11 sec), 60mph to 50mph (12 sec). In its pre-aero days, my car wouldn't have been able to comfortably maintain a 80 mph cruise (the original max speed in 5th was 93mph) and its mileage would have been in the mid 30's. The previous tank was 74mpg and the next tank should be similar. Yoshi says I should receive the SuperMID by this Friday.

Public Transit, why not?

We decided to take the Integra to the Royals game Friday night (TSX was full of stuff for my Wife's Uganda benefit event, which went well by the way).

Left the house at 5:30
Construction backup at 5:45
Bumper-to-Bumper again at 6:20
*realization strikes, see below
Kaufmann Stadium: ~7:00 (normally takes 30-mins tops)
Made it to the seats at the top of the 5th
We won! (good game too)
Waited afterward for 30 minutes to let traffic clear and talk to friends
~11:00 head home.
Arrive 11:30.

*Realization: completely killed this tank. Figured out that the 'Teg idles at 0.2 GPH -- still too much for 0 MPG.

Conversation:
(Scene is set on I-70 Westbound. Traffic is bumper-to-bumper and the game's about to start. Meanwhile, a bus goes by in the other direction...)

Me: "Argh, can't we take a Bus or something???"
Wife: "Yeah, the Metro picks you up at the commuter lot, just for the game" (not too far from the house)
Me: "Huh. Didn't know that. That sounds like a good idea -- better than this"
Wife: "...saves $10 on the parking charge too..."
Me: "So, would you be opposed to taking the Bus next time?"
Wife: "Not at all -- makes more sense"
Me: "OK -- I say we try it next time..."

We go at least every 3-4 weeks to a game, so it would only make sense from an FE and cost standpoint to take it. Public transit isn't advertised very well here. Even on slow days that you could breeze right into Stadium Parking, this system is in place, and would take the same amount of time. Apparently, it picks up a group from the lot, and goes directly to the game.

FE: lately 36.x
SG today: 32.x -- it hit hard, but early on the tank.
