Good catch -- switched the order. It's fixed...

How do I join a team?

GasSavers_DaX 05-31-2007 04:34 AM

Ok - my first time being on a team. How do I report and what do I report - I don't want to be the straggler on the team!

31st May 2007

243.2 miles 5.74 gallons 42.36MPG

I need to fix my EBH this Sunday - it keeps getting put off. I also need to get the SuperMID fixed. I'm still happy as this is very good considering I have been driving faster + in more traffic.

Post your availability in the New Team Formation Thread -- including your approximate location and details of your vehicle. There are 2 others interested as well -- so it may be a quick process of getting a couple others on-board (5-member teams: 4 is recommended as the minimum to start, but if you don't get a 5th member by Week 3, there's a 5% penalty off of the final tally. IIRC, you can have 3 to start, but 10% is taken-off if that remains the final number at Week 3). 2=d/q.

A new team can begin at Week 3 or earlier, with your 90-day averages back-calculated to the start of the Cycle.

Dax-

A quick overview: The cycle is 42-days, all fills are a minimum of 3-gallons, and the object is to improve your %-over EPA from the start of the Cycle (which is calc'd from your 90-day average vs. the car's EPA combo figure).

If you don't fill in a week, a weekly estimate of FE is requested to be sent to either your TC (Diamondlarry), posted in the Standings and Stats thread (here), or via PM to me -- any rough estimate is OK: SG/SmID, gauge, etc. The easiest (for me) is to update your TC, and recieve one update per team.

Take a look at the latest Rules with the following Supplement LINK. The "Top-10" items are listed first, and then it gets more detailed as you move further into the document.

Let me know if you have any further questions...

Best FE,

The Commish

Pretty good fillup

Filled this morning. 668 miles, 10.2 gallons, 65.49 mpg, ave speed 31 mph :) .

Yesterday I added a rear piece to my belly pan. It still is not complete. Muffler is not covered. I added a radius to my front wheel ring skirts.

This was all commuting except for a 20 mile run down the freeway this morning at 60 mph. For those 20 miles, ave speed 57 mph, 58 mpg including acceleration and deceleration. No EOC, only P&G was start and stop and turn around. Steady state was real close to 55 mpg. It was about 75 F with light cross wind. Trying to decide whether or not to go for 60 mpg at 60 mph. It seems more possible all the time. I have not installed the wide band O2 sensor yet.
