new car, what would you do to it?

well it was here for about a day with my old cressida but that morning the wife wrecked it. shes fine, but the car wasn't :(

this time around with the bad gas prices this past summer i decided to get something a bit more economical. picked up an '04 hyundai accent 5-spd. quite happy with it as it gets over 30mpg without even trying.

now the fun stuff - what can i do to improve it? theres the obvious P and G, tire pressure, but what else? going to add an aftermarket cruise system at some point....block and coolant heaters....any other ideas?

as long as this car doesnt get wrecked hopefully i'll be a new regular here.

Good to hear your wife is ok.

On manual FWD vehicles, I've always changed out the manual fluid to Redline MTL and actually seen a betterment of mileage.

yeah that was pretty much what i was planning with the synthetics. drain the transaxle and fill it with either that or maybe the castrol full synthetic gear oil....same in the engine. even if the engine oil doesn't do much i don't have to change it as often and i'm lazy lol.

but thank you i will look into the redline for sure
