October Gas Mileage

This is MPG log for my 2006 Tundra "Clyde the Ride"
4.7 V8, 5 spd Auto, Extended cab, 'high' shell.

I use the truck delivering stuff in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, which extends from Sanra Rosa in the North to Sacramento out East to Monterey down South.
Altitudes are sea level to a couple thousand feet, usually.

I wonder what you would be doing in a Dodge/Freightliner/Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (assuming it would work for your application).

In fact, when I put my money down on the very first of the new model Ram, the fleet manager I was working with suggested the idea. I nixed it because they weren't here at that time, were a totally unknown quantity, my only experience with a Mercedes that size was the 20 passenger bus with the 190 diesel that was so gutless it couldn't get out of it's own way and, I wanted to keep me seperate from the cargo. That, and even the small one is a bit big for my use.

Wow, that's allot of miles. I'm assuming that allot of it is highway, so you could probably save significant cash by making measureable improvements to your aero. Regardless, anything over 17 mpg in a full size V8 pickup is pretty decent. We rarely averaged that much in our F150 Supercrew with 100% highway.
