What Obama presidency means for clean tech

Interesting write up. The Southeast dose face some interesting challenges. GA is very unfriendly to both mass production windmills, no stable winds, and solar plants, clouds, lots of clouds. Nuclear Power and drawing power from out west during the day are the only viable options I can truly see while keeping power below 15 cents a kwh. This leads to another problem. The west coast is not going to be able to draw power from the east coast for any reasonable amount of draw in the morning hours. Batteries seem to be the best stop gap, but prices are going to have to come down. |
So, did I miss how it was going to be paid for or how much it was going to cost? Certainly, it's not going to be free, nor will the labor be free.

When did that stop them!
They have already spent all the money they will collect in the next 5 years. Inflation means those who shouldn't have bought 4000 square foot houses, can now pay for them with money worth nothing compared to the money they borrowed. Its also the worst kind of tax on the poor, but that seems to be missed by the downtrodden masses. regards gary |
