New Head Admin
 

Hi everyone,

I would like to let you know I have been promoted to Head Admin. I will be accepting suggestions for improvement on the site, and am working rapidly towards being able to edit garage entries so that the top 10 vehicles are accurately shown as vehicles, NOT scooters and motorcycles.

I'm also working on fixing the CSS so that garage entries below avatars display correctly.

It may take a little time to get the fixes implemented, but please let me know what you would like for the community. I'm here to serve and welcome any improvements you'd like to see on the site!

one suggestion. I haven't said anything about it as of yet but on other sites, they won't let you "double post". so that if you are spamming, you can't flood the site with the same post on all forums.

that may be an idea. there again just a suggestion. I figure you are going to get a lot of suggestions so if you think it is a good/bad idea. either way, won't hurt my feelings

Yeah, as far as proactive spam-prevention goes, there's a few things that can help...

- Require moderator approval of a user's first few posts
- Do not allow URLs to be posted or put in sig until the user has 10 posts (as on the v8buick.com forum)
- Better verification of new users (do we have a captcha? I can't remember.)
