I liked the point that they made at the end, that the UAW would never let them build a plant like that in the US.

Why would the UAW be against "supplier integration" in the factories?

Because a higher percentage of the workforce in that factory might be non-union?

Because it would require fewer union workers (to unload to supplier parts trucks if the parts were made offsite)?

Because they might have to eat at a cafeteria table with a non-union worker?

I'm not trying to be sarcastic, I'm just trying to understand why the UAW would be against having suppliers working in the same plant as they were.
