Cheap Family Sedans
Nissan gets it!
https://autos.aol.com/gallery/cheap-family-sedans there are 2 or 3 more that start below $10k, but it seems nissan offers the most for the price. THIS is what the future holds if auto makers want to stay afloat. the question is can the world economies support ENOUGH sales of any price right now? BTW, i've seen the versa up close, and it is the real deal, in regard to family sized. |
i'm not impressed by the FE estimates however. here's 2007...

I probably should have test-driven the Versa when I was looking for my car. I had some kind of psychological barrier I was afraid to cross in market segment / car size / some other thing but that seems to be less prevalent now.
A pretty decent listing is at https://autos.yahoo.com/carfinder/;_y...expanded=price but it doesn't show the sub-$10k Accent. |
LOL, and I caught myself looking at antique & classic Cadillacs again yesterday... Kinda kicking myself for not buying one when gas was $4/gal.

I almost bought the Versa when I went out to shop for a fuel efficient car about two/three years ago but finally decided on the Yaris. Just could not resist that small advantage in FE (OK, that is why I am here after all).

take a look at the hyundai elantra as well, very well built car for the price especially the newer ones.
