Here is one company that is partnering with Nissan.

I know this is not the best investing strategy, but their stock, ETLY, is hovering at about 3 or 4 cents a share. A few hundred dollars invested, with the chance of turning into real money some day was too attractive to pass up. If they go belly up, no problem. I never invest anything I can't afford to lose anyway.

It's more interesting than playing the lottery, that's for sure. I have a friend who does day trading as a hobby with a small amount of his funds. He has shown a remarkable talent for breaking even (thus losing out on any interest). I don't get it, but whatever floats his boat.

When you do your due diligence, it's not the lottery. But to each his own...

As long a "due diligence" doesn't effectively mean "insider trading". :)

Sure, that's why I announced it on a message board that I was looking at the company.

I was talking about investing in long shots in general. Publicly posting would more likely be part of a pump and dump. :p

I'm not that delusional. Besides, how many people have actually read this thread besides us? if I had any ambitions of affecting the market, I'd be on an investor BB, not posting on a thread where exactly 2 people have participated. :D

Hey, I didn't say you'd be a SMART con man participating in a pump and dump. :)

This is fun!

Yup. It's a sinister plot. It all started in the spring of 2007 when I was logging a lot of miles and joined gassavers at the invitation of Matt. I was waiting the last two years to hype up the stock of a company that penned a deal for EV infrastructure in hopes of convincing one person reading a thread way down at the bottom of the board to buy.

Anyway, Max. Are you looking for a new way to make a recession-proof, non-taxable, walk-away income? :D
