hi milage hx 1997

I have a 1997 HX coupe with 314,100 original miles, I put every one on it and it still runs great gas mpg, 45-47 450-495 miles on a tank of gas my best so far is 510 ,full stainless exhaust, aem cold air intake. I run full synthetic valvoline engine and trans(5sp)still same clutch, alternator, radiator starter, havn't touched the motor yet 175-180 psi compression runs better than new.

I think this generation (1996-2000) Civic is the most reliable

I bought a 2000 Civic HX on CL for $4000 cash with only 88K miles and I really LOVE this car. Silver with 5 speed trans. I average 45-48 MPG on the highway, I'm sure I can break 50 if I hyper mile and draft an 18 wheeler on I-95 :)

The only thing I don't like are the uncomforstable seats, but other than that....its a great car.
