water vapor injection

I did a search on this and never really found a definitive answer, what are the advantages/ disadvantages of running water vapor before the carb, as opposed to running it afterward? my motorcycle has six carbs, and , and all six intakes have a vacuum fitting, but I would still have to run six seperate lines. the carbs all share the same aircleaner, so I would only have to run one line to the air filter box, preferably after the air cleaner?

The advantages relate more to ease of installation than to performance for the single before carb set up as you suggested above.

One nozzle not multiples and the airbox mod is easier and cheaper to reverse if you want to do that.

Adding vapour to the inlet after the carb means it is entering into a higher speed gas stream and has basically nowhere to go apart from into the engine.

Adding it to the airbox means the vapour may fall out of suspension if the airflow slows and the airflow in an airbox can be subject to areas of "dead" air movement depending on the engine speed.

I am sure there are others with more experience than I can bring to this discussion.

Pete.
