New CHEAP hydrogen storage method

To try it myself I might have to redesign an HHO generator to separate the H2 for the O.

Now to look for some chickens, a chicken plucker, and feather roaster...

The gist is that the tube like structure of feathers is a much cheaper alternative to carbon nano-tube storage techniques. Estimates are still that it would require a 75 gallon tank to go 300 miles, but that might improve.

Hmmm I don't quite believe cheap.... after all, the raw materials for carbon fiber are pretty cheap... and this will need a similar conditioning process... by the time that happens you get a $2000 item from $2 worth of materials.

Today it is chicken feathers and tomorrow it will be nano honeycombs that hold the most hydrogen. Every few days it seems like one storage discovery trumps the next in the research field. I'm just wondering when these discoveries will actually come to production.

if you can get it, i believe hydride is the best way to store hydrogen...

But the gooberment says no to that one. Classified for weapons.

There are companies using metal hydride for storage such as this one.

I've seen several other companies at NHA trade shows selling hydride tanks as well.

With nanotechnology anything is possible. I think we're only scratching the surface on how we'll be able to store hydrogen beginning at the nanoscale.

Metal hydride technology is good but the tanks are too heavy and drag on the vehicle's performance and range. A lighter alternative such as some carbon fiber nano structure would be better in regard to weight.
