Oil analysis

For those here who have an oil analysis done at the time of an oil change, where do you have it done at? Do you send a sample out by mail? Did you find someplace local? Test at home kit?

Very good question! I've wondered this myself at times.

Yes, it's done by mail. The folks at https://www.bobistheoilguy.com would be able to recommend a good company to do business with.

anyone that has had this done, about how much does it run?

I know it may be a ball park figure but it is better than just wondering.

Kendall used to do it for no charge. The thinking was that you'd purchase Kendall oil since you were so thankful for the service.

I think it's $15-30.

Looks like the popular place at bobistheoilguy.com is https://www.blackstone-labs.com/ for $22.
