Hi from Northern CA.
I drive a 2002 Infiniti Q45 Sport. It's fast but it also can get pretty good mpg. epa is 17 city 23 hgwy.
I have been getting 26+ on the road for several years. When I stumbled on these mpg websites, i really got inspired. I drive to texas from sacramento several times a yr and my goal for my jan 2010 trip is 33mpg. |
Welcome to the site! There's plenty of great info here, I'm sure you can reach your goal with little effort.

Welcome, mcrews. I'm another Bay Area hypermiler. I got most of my gains by slowing down. 400 mile trips to SoCal used to get me 26 mpg (in my SE-R) at 72 mph. Slowing down to 62 mph got me 33 mpg, and slowing to 55 mph got me 38 mpg.

Welcome! we are glad you're here.... Alotta of wisdom on this forum.

Welcome to the forums.
On the car you will have to drive the speed limit but, getting 33 Mpg on a road trip is going to also be affected by the number of people in the car and how much luggage you have. Good luck and start using the gaslogs! |
Just me....and I'm packing for MPG!!!!
|
Let us know how you do. I'd get a Scangauge II and develop a high speed P&G routine. That's good for another 10% more mpg with my cars.

Sentra,
even though I have on-board mpg, I ordered a scangauge last week. maybe we can meetup in fairfield after the Holydays |
