finally found an inexpensive data logger

I was doing some christmas shopping and found this on thinkgeek.com

https://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/aa31/

I don't know much about it but it looks pretty good. I don't have $100 to burn on it but if I did, it would be headed to my door today. spent all my christmas money on my bumper.

from the looks of it, all you need is a laptop (maybe even a netbook) and you are good to go.

this would be great for experimentation. I wonder also if they could make some sort of display for the car that would use USB?

anyway, Just wanted to share

I have the Car Chip Pro...it's okay. I use it to "train" the teenager on driving. She has a tendency to speed, accelerate and brake hard...which the Car Chip Pro will log.

It can't do real time data as yer driving and hooked up to a computer. It's more of a black box than anything else.

Website... ;)
