Just found this.....
Very interesting..... https://www.made-in-china.com/showroo...ctric-Car.html https://www.made-in-china.com/image/2...ectric-Car.jpg |
I'm partial to "tadpole" trikes, (still looking for that cheap Corbin / Meyers Sparrow....) so of course I like this. At two-up it's more practical than the solo Sparrow.
Fit / finish of the door panel could be better at the "B" pillar, but I can overlook a lot of that type of blemish for the right money. Any idea on price? <edit> But then there's this offering: https://www.made-in-china.com/showroo...UTV-Truck.html 1360 cc diesel with a claimed 76.8 kw at 2200 rpm. That's 105 hp. That requires 250 lb*ft of torque at 2200 rpm. 'tain't likely... now if that were 76.8 Nm of torque (56.6 lb*ft) at 2200.... then 23.7 hp (17.7 Kw) from a naturally aspirated diesel would be more believable. <end> |
This may give the aptera a run for its money, though I do worry about the crash test safety for both vehicles. The design of the chinese vehicle is a little less futuristic than the aptera as well.

They are nice cars for short comutes, but driving on ice or snow would be a challenge.

I was quoted $10,400 with a min order of 2. A/C extra $380 Heat extra $120.
This is not from the company listed above but we are talking about China so it is the same car or a copy of the same car. I think the price is only about $5000 to high. |

Well compared to Aptera Motors https://www.aptera.com/ $25,000-$40,000
And Myers Motors Duo https://www.myersmotors.com/ $29,995 $10,400 is not so bad. But compared to 2010 Chevy Aveo https://www.chevrolet.com/pages/open/...family/aveo.do $11,965 Not so good. What would most people trust more a car made by a company like GM or a China company? I dont know but for some reason I think $5,000 is a better price if you really want to get more people to buy something like this. I did manage to get the price down to $8900 if you want to buy 100 at a time. |
Here is part of the reason I thought the price was high.
I was quote $2,950 for the Gas (580cc) version of this one.https://www.chinabullextruck.com/english/list.asp?id=368 I asked for the price on electric but they quoted Gas. |
